Rutgers University: the ‘Environmental Powerhouse’

This week, Waste Management will sponsor a unique learning experience with a leading green educational facility – Rutgers University. Located in historic New Jersey, this storied site of higher learning has done much over the years to earn its title as an environmental powerhouse, from investing in clean energy to making a more efficient supply chain.

On September 11, a free one-hour webinar, hosted by GreenBiz.com, will detail the story of Rutgers University’s green program. Speakers include:

  • Tara Hemmer, area vice president of the Mid-Atlantic Area, Waste Management
  • Kevin Lyons, Associate Professor, Supply Chain Management & Marketing Sciences, Rutgers University
  • Joel Makower, Executive Editor, GreenBiz Group

During the webinar, attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of how universities, businesses and other large entities can evolve to make sustainability a core value, how they can empower stakeholders to lead efforts and how they can identify the right partners to achieve all goals – both large and small.
