WM Supports Chick-fil-A Textile Recycling of Retired Uniforms
Turning yesterday’s apparel into tomorrow’s materials
From retired uniforms to renewed materials, WM is helping customers like Chick-fil-A find smarter ways to keep textiles in circulation and out of landfills.
When Chick-fil-A updated its team member uniforms, the company made an intentional choice to be a good steward by collecting retired items and sending them to WM for recycling instead of disposing of them in a landfill.
Those materials were processed at WM’s textile recycling facility near Greenville, South Carolina, one of the most sophisticated operations of its kind in the U.S. Advanced sorting technology at the facility prepares textiles for new uses, and it can process up to 6,000 tons of material annually.
