The WM Simi Valley Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Facility is the company’s first landfill gas-to-RNG facility located in California, which can provide a lower-emission energy source to help power surrounding communities. More than $100 million has been invested by WM to construct the Simi Valley RNG Facility, which is expected to generate approximately 2.2 million MMBtu per year of RNG.
